Bio

Mrs. Rockwell has been teaching for more than four years. Last year, she taught 6th-8th Grade Writing & 6th Grade Social Studies. Before that, she taught 3rd & 4th Grades at an American International School in China. Although she was born in Texas, she lived most of her life in New Jersey. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Temple University in Philadelphia and her Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey.

Week of 11/30 Updates

Starting Next Week (12/7/20) I will be having Zoom Meetings instead of Google Meet for our ELA and Social Studies classes. I will also change the link in our Meetings Schedule in Google Classroom on Monday morning so that when you click in the schedule, it will take you to my Zoom. The Zoom link is the same for both the ELA and Social Studies meetings. Work Pick Monday, 12/7 from 1:00 - 4:00pm There will be another Work Pick Up at the school this upcoming Monday. Drawing Contest A friendly reminder to email me a photo of your drawing for the Drawing Contest submission that is due this Monday, 12/7. The drawing theme for this week is Mohawk/School Pride. See the flyer for each week's drawing theme and more information. The winner will receive some art supplies and have their drawing posted on the school Facebook page!

Week of 11/16 Updates

This upcoming Monday, November 16, from 1:00-4:00PM there will be another Work Pick Up at the school as we continue our Remote Learning through November 24th.  For students who have emailed me letting me know which Kiwanis book they wanted, their book will be with their work packet at Monday's Pick Up. The Scholastic Book Order Flyers will also be in the 6th graders' Work Packets they pick up on Monday. If you would like to order any of the Scholastic books, you can order them online via our Class Scholastic Page: https://orders.scholastic.com/WW98M All orders are due by December, 11, 2020.

Work Pick-Up Today (Monday, 11/2)

Hi Students & Families! This is a friendly reminder that today is Work Pick-Up Day at the school from 1:00pm-2:00pm. You will have your work and materials needed to complete your ELA and Social Studies tasks for this week. Please email me photos of your completed work. If you cannot do this, you may drop off your completed work next Monday (11/9) to the school. The Pick-Up for today is for work only for this week. Please complete all of your work sent to you and send it to me by the end of this Friday (11/6). I have attached the November Newsletters and Remote Learning Meeting Schedule for 5th & 6th Grades to my web page here. Please check them out when you can. I hope you all stay safe and healthy!

School Work 5th & 6th Grades for 10/29/20 & 10/30/20

Hello 5th and 6th Graders! As the school has transitioned to remote learning and we do not have Chromebooks, please work on the following for Thursday, 10/29/20 and Friday, 10/30/20: - Homework Reading Log & Responses - Spelling Activities (if you have your Spelling Notebook) - Any incomplete work that you have with you at home. I will be in touch soon about what the work will be for you next week.
