Mrs. Moren - Grade 3


Week of  December 10-14
Welcome to Third Grade!!!!
I am looking forward to a great year and I hope your child learns many new things! 
                                            
These are the topics I plan to cover this week:

Spelling - Words with consonant digraphs

 Reading -  We will read Amazing Bird Nests by Ron Fridell. We will be working on using research materials.

 Social Studies -       We will  continue our Native American Unit by researching tribes found throughout the United States. Tribes being researched are Sioux, Inuit,  Apache, Hopi, Cherokee, and Mohawks. The students will focus on  homes, food, clothing, and customs.

Science -  We will use this time to work on Native American Projects.

Math -    We will continue our unit on addition and money. We will continue with counting and making change with money.
Extra Practice at home would be very helpful. We will have a chapter test at the end of the week.

Language -   We will start writing our Native American reports.We will be learning about plural possessive nouns. Cursive letters we are learning this week are o, c, and q.

Public Library trips will occur on Friday afternoon the first week of the month.
